Privacy Policy
This policy explains the information SHINE by Heaven needs to operate the public Bible, desktop application, accounts, memberships, purchases, and remote control.
Public Bible
Reading the Bible does not require an account. Highlights, text size, and the Reading 2026 preference are stored locally in your browser. We do not use that information to identify you.
If you choose voice search, the browser requests microphone access and its recognition service may process the audio to convert it to text. SHINE does not start the microphone unless you press the button and does not retain that recording.
Desktop application and local content
SHINE Desktop stores on your computer the presentations, notes, installed Bibles, images, audio, video, settings, and other files you choose to create or import. That content remains local by default. SHINE transmits it only when you deliberately use a synchronization, sending, account, or remote-control feature.
Audio Assist requests microphone access only when you activate that feature. Audio is processed to provide the requested assistance, and SHINE does not begin a hidden recording. Media files you add remain under your control and responsibility.
Linked devices and private networks
When you link SHINE Mobile, Remote, or another authorized client, SHINE may use the local network to discover and connect devices. It may process local-network addresses, installation identifiers, linking codes, connection status, and technical events needed to authenticate the device, synchronize state, and send the content you select. Incoming connections are limited to SHINE's local service and require the corresponding linking flow.
Video links and external services
If you use a YouTube or other content-provider feature, the address you provide and the necessary requests are communicated to that provider. The provider applies its own terms and privacy policy. SHINE processes or downloads content only when you request that action; you must have the rights and permissions needed to use it.
Account and identity
When you create or connect an account, we may process your name, email, verified phone number, organization, authorized installations, roles, sessions, and membership status. We use that information to authenticate you, separate organizations, and apply permissions.
Memberships, purchases, and payments
We process your plan, trial, renewals, App purchases, receipts, refund requests, and license state as needed to display benefits and protect access. Stripe processes the payment method and billing details; SHINE does not receive your full card number.
WhatsApp and communications
If you choose WhatsApp, we process the verified identifier needed to deliver codes, link the account, and respond within the service. Commands, results, and security events may be logged on a limited basis to prevent abuse, resolve failures, and prevent duplicate executions.
Content and memory
SHINE is designed so conversational content and long-term memory remain local-first by default. Cloud control may retain the operational minimum for identity, authorization, admission, idempotency, state, and auditing. We do not silently upload history as a fallback when the local host is unavailable.
Providers and retention
We may use authentication, infrastructure, messaging, and payment providers to deliver requested features. We limit access to the necessary purpose and retain operational data for the time required for security, support, and applicable obligations.
Updates, security, and diagnostics
The application may contact official SHINE services to check for updates. For security, support, and abuse prevention, we may process the application version, platform, technical identifiers, installation status, errors, event times, and limited operational logs. We do not use those logs to silently import the private content of your presentations or notes.
Apps may periodically verify a signed authorization, use an offline grace period, and apply refund or security revocations. These checks validate the license and trusted time; they do not inspect the private content of your presentations.
Your controls
You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of information linked to your account, subject to records we must retain for security or transactions. Contact us from the authenticated account so we can verify the request.
